Doux de Montagne has a mild, fruity taste with buttery notes.
General Information:
Made from pasteurized cow's milk, Doux de Montagne literally translates as "smooth" or "soft" "mountain." The cheese is easily distinguished by the bronze-colored wax coating covering its pale yellow light and airy skin dotted with tiny irregular holes.
Ripened in the age-old tradition, Doux de Montagne originates from the Monts du Velay, Haute Loire region of France. It is coated in an appealing inedible bronze colored wax rind and is a creamy, pale yellow, buttery flesh resembling Havarti.
